Il s’agit d’un répertoire de dates d’événements traitant de la notion de destruction dans le champ artistique. Il peut être question de destructions-créatrices, c’est à dire qu’une idée  de destruction est induite dans l’oeuvre ou qu’un geste de destruction est utilisé par l’artiste durant son processus de création. L’événement peut également relever de destructions accidentelles ou encore de destructions « criminelles » dans le cas où la notion de destruction est appliquée à une oeuvre de manière volontaire par un tiers, sans accord de l’artiste. Les dates choisies en correspondance des événements varient selon les informations obtenues et correspondent à différentes années, différents types d’oeuvres et de destructions. Ainsi par exemple pour une performance, si elle est répétée, on pourra avoir le même dessin associé à plusieurs dates, celles des différentes présentation de la performance. Pour l’ensemble des oeuvres, selon les différents cas de figure, il peut s’agir soit de la date de première exposition de l’oeuvre, de celle de sa destruction ou encore de sa date de réalisation.

 

This calendar is a collection of dates of events dealing with the notion of destruction in the artistic field. It can be question of « creative destructions » : the destruction idea is inclued in the work by the topic or by a specific gesture (movement) of destruction used by the artist during its process of creation. The event can also have an accidental origin, the destruction can be accidental or also «criminal», in case the notion of destruction is applied to a work in a voluntary way by a third party, without agreement of the artist. Dates chosen in correspondence of the events vary according to the obtained informations and correspond to various years and types of works or destructions. So for example for a performance, if it is repeated, we can have the same drawing associated with several dates, as the various displays of the performance. For all the works, according to the different scenarios, the date can be the one of first exposure of the work, the one of its destruction or the one of its realization.
